Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next Children in Care (LAC) contract with excellent pay, flexible working arrangements, and a manageable caseload?

We are currently working with a well-established South Coast local authority seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care service on a long-term basis.   • About the Service

    You will be joining a dedicated Children in Care team committed to delivering positive outcomes for children and young people. The service places a strong emphasis on relationship-based practice, ensuring Social Workers have the time and support needed to make a meaningful difference while maintaining manageable caseloads.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Children in Care
  • Undertake statutory visits and reviews
  • Develop and review care plans to achieve positive outcomes
  • Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, and partner agencies
  • Support permanence planning, including long-term fostering, special guardianship, and adoption where appropriate
  • Prepare high-quality reports for reviews and court proceedings when required
  • Ensure the voices of children and young people remain central to all planning and decision-making
  • About You
  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Recent experience within a Children in Care, Looked After Children, or Permanence Team
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and relationship-based practice skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
