Sonographer
Godalming | £77,025 per annum (£39.50 per hour) | Full Time or Part Time | Monday to Friday | Permanent

How often do you get the opportunity to join a brand-new clinic and help shape the way a specialist healthcare service is delivered from day one?

We're recruiting for an experienced Sonographer to join an established healthcare charity as it launches an exciting new clinic in Surrey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Sonographer who's looking for more than just another scanning position.

You'll have the chance to be part of something from the very beginning, helping to shape clinical practices, contribute ideas and establish a welcoming, patient-focused service built around preventative healthcare.

Rather than simply identifying existing health concerns, you'll be using your ultrasound expertise to help people better understand their health, detect potential issues early and take positive steps towards their long-term wellbeing.

With full time and part time opportunities, Monday to Friday working and a salary equivalent to £77,025 per annum, this is a genuinely exciting next step for an experienced Sonographer.

What's on Offer?

  • £39.50 per hour (£77,025 per annum full time equivalent)
  • Full time and part time opportunities available
  • Monday to Friday working
  • Opportunity to help shape ultrasound services within a brand-new clinic
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • 4% employer pension contribution
  • Free health screening
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Free on-site parking
  • Ongoing training and professional development

The Role

As a Sonographer, you'll play an important role in delivering a new preventative healthcare service, using your specialist ultrasound skills to identify potential health concerns and support clients in making informed decisions about their wellbeing.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations as part of comprehensive health screening
  • Reviewing medical histories and assessing individual screening requirements
  • Interpreting ultrasound findings and producing accurate, detailed clinical reports
  • Explaining findings to clients and recommending appropriate GP follow-up where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring high standards of patient care
  • Contributing ideas and helping develop clinical processes, protocols and quality standards as the new clinic establishes itself
  • Helping create a positive, welcoming experience for every client

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced Sonographers who are confident working independently and have a genuine interest in preventative healthcare.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Current HCPC registration and at least 2 years' post-registration experience
  • Experience in abdominal and/or gynaecological ultrasound scanning is desirable
  • Strong clinical assessment and ultrasound reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to a developing clinical service

No obstetric scanning is required.

Above all, we're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent care and would enjoy having the opportunity to influence how a new ultrasound service operates, rather than simply stepping into an established routine.

Interested?

Opportunities to help establish a brand-new clinical service don't come around every day.

Whether you're looking for a full time position or a part time opportunity that offers a better work-life balance, this could be a fantastic next step.

If you're ready for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to have a genuine say in how care is delivered, we'd love to hear from you.
