If you're an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse or SACT Nurse looking for a role that offers genuine autonomy, better work-life balance and the opportunity to deliver truly personalised care, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

I'm recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading specialist healthcare providers, delivering life-changing cancer treatment directly in patients' homes across Northamptonshire.

This is a rewarding community-based role where you'll build lasting relationships with your patients, manage your own daily workload and deliver specialist oncology and haematology treatments in an environment where patients are often at their most comfortable.

What's on offer?

  • Company car or £4,887.50 car allowance
  • Monday-Friday working pattern
  • No night shifts
  • NMC registration paid
  • Private medical insurance (after qualifying period)
  • Pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Structured induction and ongoing clinical development
  • Excellent clinical support and governance

The role:

As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you'll work independently across Northamptonshire while remaining fully supported by an experienced clinical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and chemotherapy treatments within patients' homes
  • Administering treatment to oncology and haematology patients safely and in line with national guidelines
  • Completing holistic clinical assessments before every treatment
  • Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management
  • Monitoring patients throughout treatment and responding appropriately to any adverse reactions
  • Maintaining accurate electronic patient records and documentation
  • Providing education, reassurance and ongoing support to patients and their families
  • Working collaboratively with hospitals, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding continuity of care

About you:

You'll be a confident clinician who enjoys working autonomously while putting patient care at the heart of everything you do.

You'll have:

  • Active NMC registration (Adult Nurse/RGN)
  • Experience delivering chemotherapy or SACT treatments
  • Competency in the administration of cytotoxic drugs
  • Strong cannulation and venous access skills
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • A full UK driving licence

Why nurses love this role

Many nurses move into community chemotherapy because it allows them to spend more meaningful time with patients, work more independently and make a genuine difference every single day.

Instead of feeling rushed from bed to bed, you'll have the opportunity to build real relationships, deliver exceptional care and see first-hand the positive impact you make on people's lives.

If you're an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse, Community Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse, SACT Nurse or Haematology Nurse, I'd love to tell you more.
