Supervision Opportunity | Stable Permanent Role | Community-Based Practice

Looking to step up into a role where you can lead practice while staying connected to frontline work?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join an Adult Locality Team as an Advanced Practitioner, where you’ll play a key role in complex casework, supervision, and practice development.

You’ll also benefit from hybrid working, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week – helping you maintain a healthy balance between work and life outside of it.

As this is a permanent role, we understand how frustrating it can be waiting for local authority onboarding processes to be finalised. That’s why we liaise directly with hiring managers on your behalf and work proactively to ensure you can start your new role as quickly as possible.

Within this role, you’ll work across a varied caseload within the local community, supporting adults with a wide range of needs including physical disabilities, mental health, and safeguarding concerns. You’ll hold a reduced caseload focused on more complex cases, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred interventions.

Alongside your casework, you’ll provide supervision and day-to-day support to less experienced Social Workers, offering guidance around decision-making, risk management, and best practice. You’ll play a key role in maintaining standards across the team, ensuring assessments, reviews, and safeguarding processes are completed effectively and within expected timeframes.

You’ll contribute to a supportive team environment, helping to drive good practice and continuous improvement. Whether it’s mentoring colleagues, supporting with complex safeguarding enquiries, or shaping service delivery, your input will have a meaningful impact.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys developing others, maintaining high professional standards, and being a trusted source of expertise within a busy but supportive team – all while remaining hands-on in practice.

You’ll be working collaboratively with a wide multidisciplinary network, including health professionals, housing, and community services, to ensure individuals receive the right support to remain safe and independent within their own homes.

You’ll join a service that values strong leadership, reflective supervision, and a positive team culture – where your experience will be recognised and your voice will help shape outcomes for both staff and service users.
