Step into a role where your leadership genuinely shapes patient outcomes as a Ward Manager within a busy inpatient surgical ward in London, with the autonomy and support to set high standards across the whole service. Working Monday to Friday across 37.5 hours, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team delivering excellent care across a range of surgical specialities.
This Ward Manager position offers real scope to influence practice, mentor developing clinicians and embed evidence-based improvements, while building your profile within a high-performing environment.
Package & Benefits
Salary up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily ward operations, workforce planning and safe staffing, aligned to budgetary guidelines.
• Provide clinical and professional leadership, including supervision, mentorship and role modelling.
• Monitor and develop clinical competence across the team, maintaining high standards of care.
• Drive evidence-based practice and service improvement, working with patients, families and stakeholders.
About You
• 5+ years post-registration experience, including 3+ years within an inpatient surgical ward setting.
• Proven experience leading and developing a ward team, including competency monitoring and clinical governance.
• Experience teaching, assessing or mentoring junior staff within a surgical environment.
